RDA course at College of Lake County

Summer Course on Resource Description & Access (RDA)!

Are you concerned about the changes to the cataloging standards as libraries get ready to roll out Resource Description Access (RDA)?  Become more familiar with RDA and explore the proposed changes to cataloging by taking our four week course, LTA 299 – RDA Lite, at the College of Lake County.  This course is appropriate for current LTA students interested in cataloging, paraprofessionals and librarians already working in the field, and anyone else in libraries with knowledge of AACR2rev and MARC.  Completion of LTA 214 is required or if you are currently working in a library, you can take this class with instructor consent. Course Details

LTA 299, RDA Lite – Online, 1 credit, 6/10 to 7/14 (4 weeks)

This class will cover the basic RDA conceptual proposed changes to cataloging.  Knowledge of ACCR2rev and MARC is required. Requires consent or completion of LTA 214.
