My post officially started in July so I’m a little late in my introduction. My name is Brooke Sievers and I am the Head of Technical Services at the Addison Public Library in Addison, IL. How did I get this great opportunity to lead the RTSF for a year? Well, I nominated myself at ILA in 2012 and no one contested me so I won the election. It was a landslide victory.
The RTSF will be meeting at ILA this October at Navy Pier on Thursday, October 17th at 10:45 am in Room 323. It is just after a presentation on RDA that I’m sure many of us will attend. I promise to try to keep the meeting to 30 min. So far the agenda consists of: voting on the bylaws graciously prepared by Joy Anhalt, electing a new RTSF Manager, and discussing the upcoming year and ILA 2014.
I’ll be posting the bylaws on the blog prior to the meeting so everyone can have a chance to review them and come prepared with questions, comments, etc. And a huge thanks to Joy who wrote these for us!
Please let me know if you have any ideas for what you want to get out of the ILA RTSF or the ILA Conference 2014. I’m on the ILA 2014 Conference Planning Committee so I’d love to hear your non-Tech Services suggestions, too.
If you have any questions and want to contact me directly, please feel free to do so!
