If you haven’t registered for ILA yet, there’s still time! For those of you attending, be sure to add these to your to do list:
- Monday: Meet up in the Presidential Ballroom at the Doubletree for Battledecks. What’s Battledecks? Four presenters will present on slides they’ve never seen before in a fierce competition!
- Tuesday: Opening Session at 10am and of course the Awards Luncheon at 12pm. After the Luncheon, be sure to head over to the annual ILA RTSF meeting! It’s about an hour long and we’ll vote for the next Forum Manager. Inside scoop: there is a private bathroom and couches in the room we’re meeting in! Tuesday evening is the desserts reception at the Illinois State Library. You won’t be disappointed in this, I promise.
- Wednesday: ILA membership meeting is at 11:30am and is followed by the exhibits opening and lunch reception. There’s even a photo booth in the exhibit hall this year! At 3:15pm, come hear the keynote speaker for the day, Pamela Meyer. Starting at 6pm is the Fourth Annual ILA Pub Stroll. We have six locations to visit with even some literary themed drinks!
- Thursday: Exhibits Continental Breakfast starts at 9am, Exhibits closing luncheon reception is 12:15-1:45, and Peter Heller speaks at the closing session which begins at 3:15.
Hope to see everyone in Springfield! If you have any questions about the conference, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
